As many Americans grumble about how long they need to wait for their new iPhone 7 to arrive, customers in Japan are simply happy that the new phone will finally bring Apple Pay to their country.

Apple announced the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and Apple Watch Series 2 will allow customers in Japan to pay with Apple Pay beginning in October.

Apple is also helping Japanese commuters with the updated Maps in iOS 10. It will help them find ride details, including fare breakdowns. Users will be able to map out their entire commute, including train, subway, ferry and bus lines, and pay all relevant costs right from their device.

Also, since Apple Pay will be accepted anywhere Suica is available, users can make purchases and buy or reload a Suica card or commuter pass with their iPhone. If users link their Suica card to Apple Pay, an alert will show when it is time to reload the card, and they can do so from their device.

“We are incredibly excited to bring iPhone 7 to customers in Japan so they can experience the magic of Apple Pay,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “Apple Pay will transform your daily routine, from making your commute easier and more convenient than ever with Suica right on your iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 2, to using your favorite cards to make secure and private purchases with a single touch.”

Apple Pay will support most Japanese prepaid and credit cards, and users will be able to purchase items with their device at most leading retailers in the country.
